The pile-up has occurred as no forensic pathologist is resident in Tobago. The Express yesterday contacted Health Secretary Dr Faith B.Yisrael on the delay in autopsies who said she remains extremely concerned by the situation.

She added that the Forensic Science Centre is responsible for all forensic autopsies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Senior Superintendent of Police Earle Elie also held a meeting yesterday in Tobago on the matter. Elie told the Express the delay in autopsies is at this time engaging the attention of police.
