In 2017, this cultural hub received the official designation “Little Caribbean” to celebrate and promote the food, culture and small businesses in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Flatbush, East Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Since then, the Little Caribbean commercial corridor has become home to numerous events throughout the year, including walking tours, food crawls, art walks, studio visits and more.

On Saturday, April 7, Brooklyn residents and other visitors to the borough will have the chance to explore the flavors of the islands when the Little Caribbean Food and Culture Crawl returns for its spring edition.

Hosted by Caribbeing and the Kings Theatre, the three-hour eating excursion winds through the Little Caribbean, stopping for plenty of food and rum samples on the way.

The crawl, which starts at Kings Theatre, provides a great overview of Flatbush’s thriving Caribbean community, as well as samples of some of the very best Caribbean cuisine in the city. Crawlers will also gain insight into favorite local spots while having the opportunity to support local artists and businesses.

Tickets for Saturday’s food crawl are $25 and include food and rum samples, as well as live music. To purchase tickets, go here.
