LeRoy Clarke, Chief Ifa’ Oje’ Won Yomi Abiodun, transitioned at age 82 after decades of creating epic works of art and writings. As a Master Artist, Author, Poet, National Icon, Doctor of Letters and University Fellow – LeRoy Clarke, A man of many talents started from humble beginnings in the hills of Gonzales on the outskirts of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and went on to have his art impact the far reaches of the African diaspora within the Caribbean and internationally.
 
His tireless work gave platform to a Caribbean voice in a way that no other artist has achieved. On Tuesday July 27th 2021, people from all over the globe sent their heartfelt admiration for the man who passionately expressed his beliefs through his art, essays and poetry.
