Chamber to meet with Ministry of Finance on proposed 2.5% Tax

The Board of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture is inviting its members to an engagement with the Ministry of Finance on the measure announced in the 2023/24 Budget Statement of a 2.5% Tax on all goods and services (except food items).

The two-hour Meeting will take place on Tuesday  6th June 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the 5th Floor the Financial Service Center, Point Seraphine, Castries.

Members are invited to register using the link nbelow as this is a member’s only Meeting and will take place face to face.
This dialogue is part of the Chamber’s engagement policy to:
1. better understand GOSL Policy Intentions and Implementation Strategy,
2. Increase Members understanding of Government Policy Measures so they can better assess the impact of the same on the business,
3. facilitate member contribution to the policy dialogue particularly where the business community will be impacted,
4. make recommendations on policy, implementation and monitoring as part of the private public sector partnership,
5. facilitate the Chamber better understanding members views, needs and interest regarding the business environment thus strengthening the Chamber’s ability to represent those interest.
