Debuting author Titi Powers bares all in this memoir recounting her life struggles and how she overcame them
‘Finding My Way’ inspires readers to live your truth and not give up

EDINA, Minn. — Titi Powers was just a little girl born in one of the smallest and poorest countries in the world in West Africa. She never thought she would ever write a book, but she wants to be able to share her story with some people who have gone through the same struggles as she did. As she recounts her journey in “Finding My Way,” she hopes to inspire readers not to give up so easily.

This memoir narrates the author’s life story from the time she was born to her present-day life. It details the challenges she faced as a little girl growing up in Africa, which continued to the time she came to America. The book illustrates the journey she is on to finding her way in this world. Ultimately, it highlights how she overcame every obstacle and shows that she never stayed down even through all the struggles.

“This book will appeal to readers because it talks about real-life struggles that people go through every day that might be hard to share,” the author states. “This book is meant to inspire every little girl out there who thinks life is against them. Stay strong and know there are other people that have been through the same situation. Never be scared to share your truth with anyone.”

An excerpt from the book reads:
We African women tend to hold things inside because we don’t want to shame our family, but it is the wrong thing to do. African women are taught to put themselves last before anyone else, but we have to speak up first and do what is right.
