New collection of poetry and prose invites readers on a journey in search for meaning in life
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Following the release of “llamas on the porch,” Dr Bonnie Rae decided to collaborate with her mom, a native Spanish speaker as well as a retired professor of Spanish literature, to offer a bilingual version of the book.
“llamas en el portal” (published by Xlibris) takes readers along the author’s journey as she searches for meaning in life. In a collection of poetry and prose, Rae details her experiences and travels to the Middle East, which has greatly impacted her world view. As readers indulge in these pages of self-expression, they will come to realize that the only surety of life is that “we are all one life and interconnected at every turn.”
“Many people all around the globe have suffered immensely due to the government imposed lockdown caused by the pandemic,” the author states. “Some of us have thrived in spite of income loss, loss of freedom to go out and about per usual, and have truly enhanced our lives by finding a quiet space to flourish from within, distancing ourselves from the craziness of the outside, dangerous world.”
“llamas en el portal” aims to evoke strong emotions and take readers on an inside-out journey to be inspired and feel connected to something more than what they know now. The energy, the power, the joy of these words dancing onto the pages have been a salve to Rae and gifted to readers with gratitude and love.
