Caribbean Court of Justice Has a New President

On Sunday, 6 July 2025, the Honorable Mr. Justice Winston Anderson was sworn in as the fourth President of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) during the 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). 

Mr. Justice Anderson was sworn in by His Excellency, The Most Honorable Sir Patrick Allen, ON, GCMG, CD, KSt.J Governor General of Jamaica. The ceremony featured remarks by His Excellency, The Most Honorable Sir Patrick Allen, ON, GCMG, CD, KSt.J Governor-General of Jamaica; Dr the Most Honorable Andrew Holness, ON, PC, MP, Prime Minister of Jamaica, Chairman of the 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government; the Honorable John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize and Lead Head of Government for Justice and Governance (CARICOM); Dr Carla Barnett, CBE, Secretary-General of CARICOM; and the Honorable Mr. Justice Adrian Saunders, outgoing CCJ President.
