Bob Marley: One Love dominated the box office over the holiday weekend.

The new Bob Marley biopic grossed $51 million in its initial opening after it premiered in theaters on Valentine’s Day last week, as multiple outlets reported Monday. The film made $27.7 million in theaters between Friday and Sunday and has already grossed an additional $29 million overseas, making it the third highest-grossing movie of the year worldwide to date.

One Love, which follows late reggae musician Marley as he and his band, Bob Marley and the Wailers, record their hit 1977 album Exodus and the years that follow the album’s release, cost $70 million to produce, per multiple outlets. The Hollywood Reporter noted that the movie has set a record in Jamaica, Marley’s home country, for its largest movie opening of all time.

“My family and I are honored with the amazing response to ‘Bob Marley: One Love’,” Marley’s son, Ziggy Marley, told Variety and THR in a statement shared Monday. “Like my father’s music, this movie is meant for the people and his message of peace, love, and unity is clearly connecting with audiences around the world. We thank the people for embracing this film and in so doing helping to highlight the message of one love.”

While One Love rose to the top of the box office over the weekend, Sony’s new superhero movie Madame Web floundered as it grossed $25.8 million after it also opened on Valentine’s Day. The movie made $15.1 million between Friday and Sunday and grossed an additional $25.7 million internationally, which The Hollywood Reporter described as the worst start ever for any of Sony’s Spider-Man related movies in recent years. The movie itself cost Sony $80 million to produce, with several million dollars more spent on marketing, as Variety reported Monday.

After Madame Web, the domestic box office featured Argylle in third place ($4.72 million) over the weekend, with the animated movie Migration following in fourth place ($3.75 million). Overall, the domestic box office saw its third-largest weekend of the year so far and largest weekend since Mean Girls released in theaters Jan. 12, per Box Office Mojo.

Next weekend features the release of Margaret Qualley‘s new movie Drive Away Dolls, while the long-awaited Dune: Part Two looms ahead with a March 1 release date.
