UNESCO cordially invites you to join the online event Connecting Caribbean: broadcasting diversity, streaming integration on 30 March 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:45 pm (Kingston time, GMT – 5).
The event, framed within the UNESCO programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union, is organized in partnership with The Bahamas National Commission for UNESCO.
This online event will foster the reflection on key topics related with the digital transformation of the cultural and creative sector, and the creation, production, distribution and access of cultural and creative contents through analogue and digital media.
Leading cultural and creative professionals will discuss and address the challenges and opportunities the digital transformation has to offer when it comes to contents’ creation and distribution, thus providing young artists with insights and inputs on how to fully harness the potential of digital and analogue technologies, platforms and tools.
The dialogue will analyze matters such as blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR), inclusion and media diversity, and Intellectual Property (IP) and related legal systems.
