CTO Celebrates SLTA’s Lorine Charles-St. Jules

The Caribbean Tourism Organization has wrapped up its Women’s History Month series by highlighting Lorine Charles-St. Jules, MSC, CIS, Chief Executive Officer of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA).

The CTO says Mrs. Charles-St. Jules ‘with over two decades of experience in tourism and leadership, has notched up notable achievements in the sector. Her roles have included being the USA Account Manager for the Anguilla Tourist Board and serving as CEO of the global marketing firm PEAEYE7 Marketing International, where she spearheaded business development and luxury resort marketing across the Caribbean, the U.S., and Canada. Recognized as an innovative strategic thinker, she has garnered accolades for her leadership in sales and has worked as a research consultant for the Organization of American States’.

She has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Monroe College in New York and the University of New Haven in Connecticut.

She took the helm of the SLTA two years ago, having served in several key roles at the Saint Lucia Tourist Board for close to 10 years, including Director of Marketing, and previously, as a Tourism Planning Officer for the Ministry of Tourism Saint Lucia.

Charles-St. Jules holds a Master’s Degree in International Tourism Development and Sustainability from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.

Additionally, she has a Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Tourism from the University of the West Indies.
