NYC DOT to host ‘Doing Business with DOT’ event to raise awareness of contract opportunities for minority – and women – owned businesses

NEW YORK – New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez will join staff at the agency’s second-annual “Doing Business with DOT” contracting fair geared toward raising awareness of contract opportunities for minority- and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs).

WHAT: NYC DOT, in partnership with sister agencies, will host a contracting fair to provide contractors across the City the opportunity to meet all of DOT’s divisions that manage contracts.  At the event, businesses will also be able to network with other contractors and obtain a better sense of the contracting and procurement process at the agency. DOT is enhancing its relationship with M/WBEs and small business in an effort to level the contracting playing field and promote equity.
