Government to Procure More Locally Produced Goods and Services

The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs is in the process of planning a Government Procurement Symposium. The main objective of this event is to increase the percentage share of goods and services that the Government procures locally and consequently, stimulate the local economy. As a build-up to this symposium, the Ministry has scheduled a Government Procurement Training Session for all manufacturers and service providers. This training session will focus on the Government Procurement Legislation, The Procurement Process as well as accessing the Procurement Platform. This training will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022. The Minister and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce as well as officials from the Ministry of Finance are expected at Wednesday’s event.
