We are thrilled to announce that the Jamaica Ice Hockey Team will be playing in New York on June 7, 8, and 9 at the Clark Gillies Arena (Dix Hills Ice Rink), located at 575 Vanderbilt Pkwy, Dix Hills, NY 11746. The match schedule is as follows: on June 7, we face Puerto Rico at 10:00 AM and Lebanon at 8:00 PM; on June 8, we go up against Puerto Rico at 7:50 PM; and on June 9, we play Lebanon at 9:30 AM. These matches are part of the newly organized Challenger Series, featuring intense competition between Lebanon, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. The New York leg is the second phase of this series, following a successful first round and leading up to another set of matches in Toronto this July.
In the first round, our team triumphed with a comfortable win against both teams, securing the top spot in the series despite being 4 to 5 players short. We urge Jamaicans to go out and watch at least one of these exciting games.
