NYC 2023 Elections Are Here. Get to Know Your City Council District Before You Vote.

Who represents you and who wants the job? How has your district changed? And who are the neighbors voting with you?

9 days until early voting starts: JUNE 17-25
19 days until election day: JUNE 27

On June 27, every one of New York’s 51 City Council seats is up for grabs — in newly redrawn districts.

In the city’s latest maps, some districts are almost unrecognizable, while others may have lost an airport, or gained a large housing complex full of voting-age adults.

In the upcoming June primaries — and then again in the November general election — voters will get the chance to pick a new representative in the Council, or reelect incumbents serving shortened two-year terms. (And don’t forget: Ranked choice voting in primaries is here to stay!)

To help you understand your local district and the election, we’ve created this guide, which will give you key information about your district’s candidates, demographics, and voting patterns.
