Day one of PARAISO Miami Beach, the official industry platform of swim week, brought the heat with the biggest and baddest events, live shows, and activations in Miami, kicking off with a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the debut of Espacio VOGUE, a salon-style fashion and beauty popup shop at the PARAISO Bungalow, attended by Karla MartÃnez de Salas, Head of Editorial Content for Vogue Mexico and Latin America and Natalija Stojanovic, Creative Director of PARAISO Miami Beach.

Later that afternoon, Dan Gelber, Mayor of Miami Beach, honored Natalija Stojanovic with a proclamation celebrating twenty years of PARAISO bringing world-class swim week to Miami at the PARAISO Bungalow, which was a huge honor for both the city of Miami and Natalija.
The day continued with an afternoon cocktail reception at Palihouse Miami Beach hosted by Monday Swimwear, where VIPs and influencers enjoyed refreshing cocktails ahead of the brand’s runway presentation later that evening.
AB Beachwear hosted a luncheon for VIP guests and influencers ahead of their Resort 2023 presentation.
To begin the evening’s festivities, Destination Colombia hosted a Panel Talk in the PARAISO Tent Lounge where Colombian designers spoke about trends, inspiration, and design to a captivated audience.
Following the panel talk was the Destination Colombia Fashion Show at 6pm featuring collections by Colombian designers, including Mola Mola, the sophisticated Puntamar, versatile Palmacea, PQ Swim, sustainable Bahama Mama, Praia, bohemian chic Mara De Lua, luxurious Smeralda, Bahia Maria, and elegant Alma Arena, who all proved that vibrant prints and well-constructed swimwear are in for Resort 2023.
Endless Summer by Frederic Pinet, an art exhibition featuring subjects submerging themselves in water, with Pinet’s lens capturing the timelessness and stillness of these moments of escape, hosted an opening reception in the PARAISO Tent Lounge at 7pm, to celebrate the exhibition’s opening.
At 8pm, Miami was still sizzling as eco-friendly Monday Swimwear showed an incredible runway presentation featuring size-inclusive swimwear in bold colors, fun patterns and flattering fits.
Topping off the evening, Segunda Mano presented a sustainable and thrifted fashion show full of fun, stylish looks in the Miami Design District, benefitting Lotus House Shelter.
Foster Grant Sun Luv Sunglasses hosted an invitation only PARAISO Miami Beach welcome dinner at 9pm at the Tropezon in the Esme Miami Beach Hotel, where attendees included Kittenish designer, Jessie James Decker, influencers Madi B Webb and Cindy Prado, musical artist Skyler Simpson, and PARAISO‘s own Natalija Stojanovic.
PARAISO Miami Beach Select Models Kicked Off swim week with the welcome party at the W South Beach serving On The Rocks. Guests enjoyed beats by DJ Allie Teilz, while Select models mingled with designers Monti Landers of Riot Swim, fashion influencers Martha Graeff and Gabriela Medina, and stylist Liandra Sales, just to name a few.
Closing the festivities for the day was Australian brand Abyss by Abby, with a 10pm presentation of their latest collection of sexy swimwear in bold jewel tones in the PARAISO tent, whicn featured a surprise performance by Fetty Wap.
