SLHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund $250,000 Yuletide Outreach

As part of its annual yuletide outreach, the SLHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) has disbursed grants and donations totaling over EC $250,000 to various organizations.

Among the grantees is the St. Lucia Divers Association which has received EC $61,355.50 to facilitate the training of eight (8) Young Saint Lucians to Divemaster competency with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors— the world’s leading scuba diving training organization.

Landmark Events has also received a EC $132,000 towards ‘Warehouse 11.’ a 4,900 square foot facility in Vide Bouteille, Castries which seeks to serve as a ‘community space for creative interaction between artists and audiences, performers and producers, and masters and emerging talent. Through the grant funding, young Saint Lucians will receive training in the Orange Economy.

The Tourism Enhancement Fund is also making contributions towards the Donation of Food vouchers by the following organizations:

• Disabled Musicians ($7,500)

• Rotary Club of Saint Lucia ($3,000)

• Lions Club of Gros Islet (3,000)

• Alexander Family Foundation (3,000)

• Dunnottar School ($3,000)
