St Lucia’s St Joseph’s Convent 170th Anniversary Celebrations Begin This Week

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny will this year marks the 170th anniversary of the establishment of the St. Joseph’s Convent Secondary School (SJC) in Saint Lucia.

Established in 1854, the esteemed institution has stood as a pillar of academic excellence, shaping the minds of generations and leaving an indelible mark on society.

To kick off this historic occasion, a Church Service will be held on Wednesday, 24th January 2024, at 10:00a.m. at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, providing a sacred backdrop for reflection on SJC’s rich history and legacy.

The Opening Mass promises to be one of the highlights of our year-long celebration, uniting students, dedicated alumni, committed staff, and the wider community. Together, we will express our gratitude for the institution’s significant contributions over the past 170 years.

Students will embark on a symbolic march to the Minor Basilica, accompanied by the enchanting melodies of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Band.

The procession will commence from the North South Gas Station at 9:15 a.m.
