On March 11th, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) featured Helen’s Daughters as part of celebrations for Commonwealth Day.

The “Women of the Commonwealth” feature shone a global spotlight on the globally relevant work of our organization and our Executive Director, Keithlin Caroo-Afrifa.

Mrs. Caroo-Afrifa believes that “through Helen’s Daughters, we’re supporting women in agriculture to professionalize their work and raise their income. We’re tackling gender gaps in agricultural policy and driving a mindset shift in how society perceives rural women”.

She adds that “nearly 7 years in, we’re thrilled with the direction HD has taken and have pledged our commitment to the cause. Working with The Commonwealth has provided us with an invaluable opportunity to speak with industry heads and raise awareness of the power of farming within small communities”
