The Jamaica Diaspora Arts Culture and Entertainment Task Force is excited to announce a partnership with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) to spread the word: For the first time this year, the Diaspora will be able to vote in the Jamaica Festival Song Competition!
The Festival Song competition started in 1966, the first winner was Toots and the Maytals. The winning song this year will be decided exclusively by voting. Voting will take place between the Presentation Show on Sunday, July 19, 2020, and the Results Show on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Both shows will be broadcast LIVE.
Each week various Festival Top Ten finalists will be interviewed live on Jamaicans.com’s Facebook platform facebook.com/onelovejamaica.
Tonight, Freddie McGregor will be interviewed along with Radix OD at 8 PM EST. Additional interviews will be scheduled through the presentation show. If you miss it live, all the interview replays and up to the minute Festival competition content will be available on jdtan.org.
